Supplies:
Pellon Stitch n Tear stabilizer to fit your hoop
Eazy Felt (felt that has been stiffened) - 4 pieces 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" (to make 1 recipe holder)
Single hole paper punch (1/4" hole) - to punch the holes in the top of the finished design.
3 Hole punch - to punch the holes in the 4x6 index cards. Tape a 3/8" wide popsicle stick inside
the left edge of the 3 hole punch so that it keeps the card that distance from the edge so the holes
are perfectly centered at the top of the index cards.
4"x 6" Index cards (ruled)
Two 1" inch metal rings (per recipe holder)
1. Hoop a piece of Pellon Stitch 'n Tear in your hoop and stitch the first color in the design - the outline. 2.  Place one piece of Eazy felt "inside" the outline centered.
3. Next color in design tacks the felt down. 4.  Stitch the rest of the design on the front.
5.  Remove hoop and flip it over on the back side.  Place another piece of Eazy felt "inside" the outline again.
(Spray with adhesive spray to secure).
6.  Last color in design tacks the back piece of felt down!
7. Remove from hoop and with a straight edge ruler and rotary cutter trim the excess fabric from the outer edges.
I trimmed mine 1/8" from the edge of the outline.
8.  Punch 2 holes at the top with a simple paper punch.  Make sure the hole punch it centered in the hole so you do not cut into the satin stitched outline of the holes!
9.  Tape a 3/8" wide popsicle stick to the inside edge of a
3 hole paper punch to punch the holes in the 4x6 index cards. The popsicle stick holds the index cards out the right distance so the holes are perfectly centered at the top!
10. Sandwich the index cards in between the front and back of the recipe holder and add the 1" rings at the top and you're finished!
